2021 No-code Predictions, Part 2

November 14, 2020

In no-code predictions, part 1, I mentioned that 2020 has been the year for no-code exploration and 2021 will be the year for no-code adoption.

Here are a couple more predictions.

In 2021, we'll see people learn no-code as the first step towards learning how to code.

In 2021, we'll see more businesses run by individuals instead of teams and companies of people. They will focus on serving hyper-niches.

No-code will be Coding 101

No-code is like coding but with training wheels. You can't bank as hard to the left or right but you can understand how the thing works.

Building software will be like taking a factory built car and modifying it.

Efficiency will look like no-coding an app and only coding when necessary.

If you learn to code, you'll be using no-code.

No-code will fuel the hyper-niche business boom

Why hasn't a business solved all of your specific needs and problems?

Because there may not be enough people that have your specific needs and problems.

But the number of people that are enough is getting smaller.

Business has continued to become more and more niche over time (first it was Ford's Model T but now it's the electric Toyota Prius, Ford Super Duty F-350 and everything in between).

With no-code, individuals have cheaper ways to solve your specific problems.

And individuals need a much smaller amount of revenue than a VC backed startup needs.

Enter the rapid rise of businesses run by individuals and small teams. They will solve more specific problems.

Happy building,

Bryce
